Coleman began his business in 1940.  He started out with a bulldozer, two trucks and an unsurpassed work ethic.  He instilled that work ethic in his son Calvin “Buzz” Coleman who joined him at a young age and who has passed it to the next generation, his sons, Noah and Curtis.  Alvin J. Coleman & Son was incorporated in 1962.  Today, AJC is still a family run company, however, the scope has changed considerably.  We now have a fleet of over 200 construction vehicles as well as a complete staff of engineers, project managers, estimators and a large variety of workers skilled in all of the construction trades.  Further, through years of hard work and dedication to excellence, we have established excellent relationships with over 300 reliable, experienced subcontractors.
